About Me I'm Stella Herrera Williams. I'm a Senior Placement Advocate in Austin, Texas — but before any of that, I was my mom and dad's caregiver. That's where this work really started.

My story

For years, I cared for both of my parents. My dad was a veteran. My mom battled cancer and dementia, and had fall after fall as her balance gave out. I was with her 24 hours a day.

There were moments I felt completely alone. When my dad was hospitalized and couldn't come home — even though all he wanted was to be home for his last days. When my mom needed skilled nursing and I suddenly had to figure out which facility would actually care for her. When I learned that surviving spouses of veterans qualify for benefits — long after I could have used that help.

In every one of those moments, I wished for someone who knew the ins and outs. Someone who could sit with me, hear what was happening, and walk me through my options without trying to sell me anything.

That person didn't exist for my family. So I became her for other families.

What I do now

I help seniors and their families find the right place — assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or support at home. I walk families through every step: understanding options, comparing communities, going on tours, handling the move, and staying close long after.

And I do it the way I wished someone had done it for me:

I listen first. Before I ever talk about a community, I want to understand what your family is walking through.
I'm free to families. The communities pay me when a family finds a home. You never get a bill from me.
I know the communities personally. They aren't all the same, even when the marketing makes them sound identical.
I know VA benefits. As a veteran and the daughter of one, I help military families claim the Aid & Attendance benefit most don't even know exists.
I speak English and Spanish. I serve Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, Hutto, Manor, and all of Central Texas.

My promise

I'll treat your mom, your dad, or your spouse the way I treated mine. I'll be steady when things feel chaotic, honest when the easy answer isn't the right one, and available long after the move is done — because the questions don't stop on moving day.
